Summary:With an increase of consumers using smart phone nowadays with cellular data capabilities, using of internet services has become part of an activity that people do while travelling on a daily basis, with that on mind, telecommunication company is able to retrieve movement data and it can be tracked and studied upon to further understand human travel pattern. This project focuses on comparing the cultural mobility with people in Île-de-France and Singapore. For people in Île-de-France, travel patterns during morning peak hour, lunch and dinner time were studied upon by using dataset provided by a telecommunication company in France. As for Singapore dataset, Land Transport Authority data were retrieved and similar studies were being conducted. The findings can help food and beverages business owners to better locate their business and also allow government security authorities to better plan and allocate manpower as required.
