By utilizing powerful cloud resources, cloud gaming enables people to play graphics intensive games from any devices that they want. However, setting up a cloud gaming environment is a hassle for most people and the price of using powerful cloud resources is not that cheap either. This project aims to develop a cost-effective web-based cloud gaming system to allow one-click deployment of games onto the cloud server. In this paper, we will go through the design as well as the implementation process of the cloud gaming system and discuss various cost optimization ideas to minimize the cost of the cloud gaming system as much as possible. Finally, we will also evaluate the performance and cost of the cloud gaming system to find out the usability and cost-effectiveness of the system as well as how it can be improved further.
