Description
Summary:This report assesses the effectiveness of various diversity combining schemes in diversity enabled systems. The signals are binary phase shift key (BPSK) and binary frequency shift key (BFSK) modulated. Additive white Gaussian noise and Rayleigh fading are introduced to the received signals. Simulations are performed for cases where the fading variable are independent of each other. By doing so, the analysis of the wireless communication system can be easily identified, and the theoretical values are used to confirm the simulation results. In this project, diversity combining schemes includes equal-gain combining (EGC) and maximal-ratio combining (MRC) are being studied. Diversity techniques such as time and spatial diversity are also considered. The effects of each diversity technique with the combining schemes are simulated and evaluated. Conclusions can be drawn from this project.
