Description
Summary:Due to the increase of vehicle thefts today, security systems for motor vehicles have become of great interest. However, most of the systems are more suitable for four wheelers. As far as motorcycles are concern, most readily available systems can only lock the engine and sound off an alarm. In this project, the Raspberry Pi 3 will be used to provide security features for the vehicle and still, keeping the cost low. The Raspberry Pi 3 will be used together with sensors and a Global Positioning System (GPS) tracker to provide alerts to the user’s mobile. The security system will be able to monitor the motorcycle remotely and alert the user of any anomaly. Location of the motorcycle will be tracked in real-time to increase the possibility of recovering the vehicle. As an added feature to remote monitoring, the system is also able to record footage while the motorcycle is being ridden. Upon detection of an impact, the system will be able to extract footage and send it directly to the user.
