Topic of the present study is analysing conduction steady-state heat transfer and transient temperature distribution in homogenous and functionally-graded materials. A comprehensive study on Boundary Element Method (BEM) computational numerical modelling was also carried out. MATLAB programming was developed and implemented to solve several test problems. Results of the simulation are discussed and compared with the exact analytical solutions to demonstrate the correctness and feasibility of the proposed boundary element method. Analytical solutions are based on solving the governing differential equation in addition to boundary conditions. On the other hand, numerical solutions are based on substituting the differential equation with an array of algebraic equation, and through further simplification and solving to obtain the temperature values at the discrete points.
