This research paper focuses on finding out what makes the Iban people distinctively them in hopes to capture and portray the essence of their culture in a manner that is informative yet engaging at the same time. The Iban people is known to live their lives in a way that is highly communal where they place great value and emphasis on the harmony and well-being of their community. However, this attitude has also been reflected in their attitude towards their land. This tribe of people are known to be pagan and rice cult worshipers years before the colonization of the Brooke family.(Cramb,2007) Studies have shown that the Iban people have dedicated and revolve their lives around the cultivation of the rice crops since their very existence.
