Thus, it is important to understand the principles of condition monitoring which enables us to monitor the state of the equipment in question using vibration sensors to assist us in determining the health of the equipment. In addition, in the new age of internet connectivity and IOT(Internet of things), it is more desirable to implement smart sensors and set up a wireless sensor network to assist with condition monitoring. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate the capabilities of select wireless vibration sensors in the market to judge their accuracy under varying vibration conditions and to establish a benchmark which can be used to one day develop prototype wireless vibration sensors which will meet or exceed said benchmark for lower cost.
