Description
Summary:Hair is a stop motion film that explores the topic of separation anxiety and how one can overcome it with the help of love and self-determination. Hair is used here to visualise our protagonist Qiqi’s attachment to her loved ones and this is inspired by the Confucius saying “身体发肤,受之父母,不敢毁伤,孝之始也” which translates to our bodies including hair and skin are gifts from our parents and we must not damage them in the name of filial piety. The aim of this film is to make use of aesthetically pleasing imagery, to touch on the darker and more intimate moments of Qiqi struggling to cope with her pain.
