Loneliness is common in people of all ages and undoubtedly everyone has experienced it in some capacity at some point in their lives. The need for connection and the pain we feel without it are very humane responses yet this is a topic we often do not want, or even know how, to discuss. Healthcare professionals and social work organizations have been emphasizing the importance of identifying sources of loneliness and addressing them before it spirals downwards into situations with dire consequences. Research suggests that the age group 16-34 identified as feeling lonely most often, and therefore, this will be my target group, in Singapore, for this project. Faced with multiple transitions in a period where we could question our place in the world, this project aims to find ways in which loneliness can openly be discussed and dealt with in ways supportive of all, rather than a one-size-fit-all solution. How do we find ways to support people on their own terms, be it their preference in creating social connections or the preference of people who prefer solitude? This project proposes to look at solutions through the common theme of connection. We need to know how to connect with ourselves as much as we do with others. Through the proposed deliverables, consisting of a graphic novel, a brochure, and a website, it is hoped that mutual genuine conversations could arise throughout and beyond the project’s lifespan
