Description
Summary:The marrying of robotics, automation and computer vision have become a major advancement in technology for the many robots that we see today and the future to come. Such as the well-known Curiosity Rover designed by NASA since 2011 to the driverless shuttle bus that Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is recently adopting [1]. While different, with each robot having their own purpose, the objective is similar, given an environment, the robot must go from point “a” to “b” successfully with little to no human intervention. The purpose of this project aims to design a robot that can traverse through a maze containing traffic signs, using mainly computer vision capabilities. Eventually, parts of this project will be used for the Multi-Disciplinary Project (MDP) module for School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) to bring about more new challenges and objectives.
