Summary: | In this Final Year Report, it provides a conclusive experimental learning progression with pump control system with integrated acoustic chip and various others technology platform to gain a forth insight of microfluidic. The purpose of this study is to optimize the performance and verification of the pre-concentration process in the experimental results for the Pump Control System with Acoustic Integration Chip. For chapter one, it concludes the information of the project planning stage which are the objective establish for this project, background and project scope in this project. For chapter two, it reviews the different techniques involves of particles are being separated from the different filtration techniques in the system and the important of microfluidic system established in the platform. For chapter three, it reviews the performance of peristatic pump interface with Arduino and LabVIEW. With the review of performance, the peristatic pump will be used with the software to control the performance of the system. For chapter four, it reviews the performance of the syringe pump system interface LabVIEW. For chapter five, it is the integration of the peristatic pump and syringe pump with integrated additional features such as Dual Control and Syringe Pump Notification. For chapter six, it reviews the experimental phase incorporated each phase with LabVIEW function. In Phase One, it is to test the frequency tune range in which particle will be moving at the peak and using separated software platform. In Phase Two, it is to evaluate two peristatic pump speeds of the flowrate and duty cycle with sample particle of 5 micrometres plastic beads and the software platform integrated peristatic pump and syringe pump platform. In Phase Three, it is to evaluate the Pre-Concentration Process of the recovery rate of the acoustic chip process and the integration of the peristatic pump and syringe pump with integrated additional features. For chapter seven to nine, it reviews the conclusion and recommendation of the system, referencing and the appendix. |
