Summary:This report highlights the process of the author’s FYP animation project from pre-production to post-production. The story is about a girl who goes on a trip with her grandma, only to find out that her grandma is actually a wild child. This report covers the conception of the story, visual development of the character design, the process from story beats to storyboards and the documentation of animating in After Effects using Rubberhose 2.0 and Joysticks n’ Sliders plugins. Artistic decisions and technical know-how are detailed in the following report. Challenges and difficulties faced are also discussed, hoping to aid the reader to understand the depth of producing a 3min short animated film.
