Summary: | Online shopping has become prominent in today’s shopping scene due to the increase in accessibility of the internet and the increase in demand for non physical stores. There are many content management system that are avaliable for shop owners to set up their own stores. However, all these content management system can be costly due to monthly payment to use their services. Hence, the main objective of my project is to create a e-commerce template for online store owners to maintain their shop without the use of existing content management systems. In order to achieve an ecommerce template for online store owners, I have created tools that allows shop owners to add, modify or delete items, categories, slider, product, users and admin in the database. Additionally, a statistical overview board can be found in the admin page that details of past orders and reports can be viewed for tracking purposes. The statiscal overview also contain the number of items, categories and orders accurate to the number in the database. I have also built a ecommerce layout for users to be able to view products, addung them to cart and checking them out to a payment gateway, in this case paypal was used. Use cases are established for the shop owners and users in order to determine in what scenario would they use the template for at every pages in order to meet the needs of both shop owners and users. All these user cases will go through a testing phase called blackbox testing in order to make sure that all functions established for use cases are working. |
