Smartphones and its number of users has grown exponentially since their creation. People often snap a picture to share it with their family and friends online through social media platforms as these platforms offer opportunities for self-expression [1]. Image processing mobile applications (apps) allow people to further express their thoughts and ideas by enhancing and editing the photographs quickly and conveniently. This project’s app, named photoES, is an Android-based mobile app with image processing and photo sharing capabilities. The app’s main functions will allow users to select a photo from the phone’s gallery or capture the photo from the in-app camera. After which, the user can perform image processing and editing and lastly share the edited image to social media networks such as WhatsApp and Instagram.
