I will be looking to extract and analyse GPS data in its raw form i.e. raw GNSS data, as well as develop Android apps related to GPS. For the raw data segment of my project, I would be working to collect my own raw GNSS data using the GNSS logging app called the GNSSLogger, analyse them with the analysis app called the GNSSAnalyser, as well as to utilise the source code of both these apps. In addition, I will be looking to learn Android Studios, programming several features into a GPS related app. With these methods accomplished, I managed to show the steps to running the Logger and Analyser, highlighting the steps, as well as several potential mistakes in running it. I also managed to demonstrate the running of their source codes. As for creating smartphone apps, I too managed to produce map apps on mobile devices. Throughout my research, I felt that raw GNSS data on Android devices is a relatively niche field, which can be seen by the small number of citations I have. Through my work, I hope that I have simplified and made this field a little easier to understand, hence bridging the gap between more “mainstream” online GPS libraries which I use for the apps, and actual raw data which I collected and studied.
