Summary:This paper examines the effects of corporate governance mechanisms on the level of voluntary disclosure of financial instruments. Results showed associations between Board Composition, Block Ownership, Managerial Ownership, CEO Duality, Founding CEO and GLC with the level of disclosure. Results also suggested that the existence of CEO duality could mar talented directors’ monitoring ability.
