Factors affecting longevity of foreign direct investments.

This paper examines the longevity of foreign direct investments under the influence of mode of entry, firm specific and environment-specific factors. Hypotheses are developed on cultural distance, mode of entry(start-ups versus acquisitions), type of product expansion and firm size.
