As we start the 23rd year of the journal, and its 15th year as an journal of the International Communication Association (ICA), it is clear that JCMC has established itself as a well-founded venue for high-level scholarship on digitally-mediated communication. During that period, it has become recognized for its high standards, and its high impact. This, of course, did not just happen. It is through the sustained efforts of the previous editors, associate editors, authors, editorial assistants, and not the least the reviewers, that the journal has gained the position that it enjoys today. I am honored and humbled to join this group. In addition to the transition to a new editorial team, we are also marking the transition to Oxford University Press. Oxford is the largest and, after Cambridge, the oldest university press in the world, dating back to the 1480s. I am excited to work with them on this enterprise.
