As children are less able to express their feelings and thoughts verbally, their communications are facilitated through the use of tools such as toys or medical aid devices. This paper documents the design, fabrication and application of a 3D printed Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner medical aid. The device was designed to serve as a visual and demonstrative tool that is used to prepare paediatric patients psychologically and to reduce their emotional stress. |
