The years 1995-6 saw a surge in interest in Knowledge Management, reasons include; the Dynamic Environment, the Knowledge Intensity of Goods and Services, a Growth in Organizational Scope, Staff Attrition, the emergence of New Organizational Structure and an Advancement in Information Technology. With IT as an integral part of Knowledge Management, it has improved the ability of an enterprise with respect to Communication and Human Resource. Many companies are also becoming more dependent on the body of Knowledge that underlies the operation of the organization. Examples of companies are 3M and Ernst & Young.Citing the above reasons, we have come up with this project on Knowledge Management. The emphasis here is on the difference in perception of Knowledge Management due to race or religion.
