Summary: | In this letter, we introduce a Multi-Code Multi-Packet Transmission (MCMPT) scheme for wireless Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) ad hoc networks to increase the performance, in terms of the expected forward progress, by considering varying channel conditions in the Rayleigh fading channels. We develop an analytical model to examine the maximum expected progress per hop and optimum number of parallel transmission in MCMPT. Numerical results show that adaptive MCMPT considering varying channel conditions achieves significant progress improvement over the nonadaptive Conventional Packet Transmission (CPT) in a slow Rayleigh fading channel. |
