Nano-structured metal oxide composite for photocatalysis applications
Materials with photocatalytic properties produce electron-hole pairs under light illuminations within specific wavelength range. Thereafter, the electrons and holes produced act as powerful reducing and oxidizing agents respectively, which can kill bacteria (oxidize organic compounds). [3rd Award]
