A broadcast-overlaid full-duplex WDM-PON based on offset polarization multiplexing

We demonstrate a WDM- PON architecture where offset polarization multiplexing is exploited to provide broadcast capability. No active polarization tracking is needed for demultiplexing and detecting downstream unicast and broadcast signals at optical network units.
