Description
Summary:We aim to investigate the association between these three variables. This study uses a set of firm-level data from I/B/E/S Summary Files to examine the impact of investor protection on forecast accuracy of analysts across 8 Asian countries. Our results support the hypothesis that strong law enforcement and anti-director rights are positively associated with analysts’ forecast accuracy. Together with the benefits that audit specialization brings with it, forecast accuracy can be further improved in an environment with strong investor protection.
