The stability of the leapfrog ADI-FDTD method is analyzed using the Fourier method and the eigenvalues of the Fourier amplification matrix are obtained analytically to prove the unconditional stability of the leapfrog ADI-FDTD method. The dispersion relation of the leapfrog ADI-FDTD method is also presented.
