Summary:Our applied research project aims to critically examine the CPFTA and its implications for consumers and businesses. We will be looking at how the CPFTA plugs the gaps in current consumer protection through the list of the specific unfair practices mentioned in the CPFTA. More importantly, we will highlight the limitations of the Act and propose recommendations that will further strengthen the efficacy of the CPFTA in protecting consumers and ensuring errant businesses are taken to task.
