India-US joint strategic vision : a new regional role for Delhi?

There appears to be a new policy direction in New Delhi's regional security interests. The highly significant document that came out of the recent Obama visit, "US-india Joint Strategic Vision for the Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean Region", outlines India's new role in the region.
