The presentation gives the timeline of open data movement in Indonesia and the establishment of BRIN (National Agency for Research and Innovation). BRIN acts as the hub of research collaboration with open infrastructure. BRIN set up RIN (Repositori Ilmiah Nasional), national repository for journals and encouraged the development of institutional repositories. RIN Dataverse is the platform that we use in supporting the movement of open science in Indonesia; besides the implementation of One Data Indonesia and the scientific publication through Open Journal System. We also have national regulation about deposit data requirement, Indonesia Law 11/2019 about National System for Science and Technology. We share the current and future approach in developing the open science ecosystem through RIN Dataverse, with the opportunities and challenges faced.
