He provided an overview of the range of new tools available based on open access data, which includes discovery indexes like Lens.org, literature mapping tools like Citation Gecko, Litmaps, Inciteful, VOSviewer or new features such as contextual citations and more. These tools are evidence that we are starting to cash in on the cheque of the OA movement, and may be going beyond simply providing access for humans to read and to instead use machines to text mine the corpus to generate new knowledge. |
