The presenters discuss the critical value that research librarians bring to the research ecosystem of a university. This overview highlights key responsibilities and functions undertaken by research librarians. In their muti-faceted contributions, research librarians provide well-rounded support to the university, across all user segments, in areas of education and research. Further to that, Research Librarians lead or contribute as key members to strategic developments and service innovations. These include the development of a systematic literature review support service, setup and expansion of an Investment and Data Studio, and research support in SMU’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
