DSC Analysis of Rectangular Plates with Non-Uniform Boundary Conditions

This paper introduces the discrete singular convolution (DSC) for the vibration analysis of rectangular plates with non-uniform and combined boundary conditions. A systematic scheme is proposed for the treatment of boundary conditions required in the proposed approach. The validity of the DSC approa...

A systematic scheme is proposed for the treatment of boundary conditions required in the proposed approach. The validity of the DSC approach for plate vibration is tested by using a large number of numerical examples that have a combination of simply supported, clamped and transversely supported (with non-uniform elastic rotational restraint) edges. The present results are in excellent agreement with those in the literature. 2002-08-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/lkcsb_research/933 info:doi/10.1006/jsvi.2001.4150 https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/context/lkcsb_research/article/1932/viewcontent/DSC_Analysis_2002.pdf http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ Research Collection Lee Kong Chian School Of Business eng Institutional Knowledge at Singapore Management University Discrete singular convolution Rayleigh method Ritz variational methods Vibration analysis Physical Sciences and Mathematics
