The fundamental structure of such a theory must include the domains of external basic entity interactions, external basic entity and information-coded energy quantum transformations, and energy quantum and information-coded matter interactions. In this respect, a human thinking system is perceived to have at least a natural energy-matter subsystem and a human-created physical symbol subsystem. The artifacts of the human-created subsystem are the external basic physical entities, namely, data, information, knowledge, and wisdom. The intrinsic and interactive properties of these entities depict the characteristics of the physical symbol subsystem. Besides interacting among themselves, the external entities also interact with the natural entities, the information-coded energy quanta, according to certain rules and principles. Subsequently, the energy quanta interact with the information-coded matter structure. Such interactions occurring within the individual subsystems and between the two subsystems constitute the dynamics of the human thinking systems. In intelligent systems of this nature information can exist in physical, energy and matter forms, and the different forms are interconvertible. The interactions among these entities and the conversion of one form to another is made possible by the existence of an intelligence space in the human mind. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/lkcsb_research/2178 info:doi/10.1016/s0306-4573(97)00069-1 https://doi.org/10.1016/s0306-4573(97)00069-1 Research Collection Lee Kong Chian School Of Business eng Institutional Knowledge at Singapore Management University Business |

This study is an attempt to put in place the component of the general information theory that explains the macroscopic dynamics of the human thinking systems. |
