Description
Summary:Airport terminals around the world are faced with the need to improve the profitability of their business. Many airports have increased their profitability through the use of shopping malls and duty free shopping. However, increased revenue from such avenues is dependent on the human traffic through the airport which is dependent on the flights in and out of the airport. Any further attempt to increase revenue depends on the capacity of the terminals to accommodate the passengers as well as aircrafts. In this paper, we will focus on the analysis of operational data of an airport and how data analytic can yield interesting insights about the behavior of the airlines as well as the terminals. We will also demonstrate how these insights led to a list of proposed solutions which are sufficient significantly improve the overall performance of the airport and airline satisfaction.
