Interestingly, software developers also use microblog to communicate with one another. Different from traditional media, microblog users tend to focus on recency and informality of content. Many tweet contents are relatively more personal and Opinionated, compared to that of traditional news report. Thus, by analyzing microblogs, one could get the up-to-date information about what people are interested in or feel toward a particular topic. In this paper, we describe our microblog observatory that aggregates more than 70,000 Twitter feeds, captures software-related tweets, and computes trends from across topics and time points. Finally, we present the results to the end users via a web interface available at http://research.larc.smu.edu.sg/palanteer/swdev. 2012-09-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/sis_research/1573 info:doi/10.1145/2351676.2351740 https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/context/sis_research/article/2572/viewcontent/C28___Observatory_of_Trends_in_Software_Related_Microblogs__ASE2012_.pdf http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems eng Institutional Knowledge at Singapore Management University Software Development Twitter Visualization Exploration Communication Technology and New Media Software Engineering |
