Study of the decays D0KK, ππ¯
Using the CLEO detector we have observed the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D0→K0K¯0, K+K−, and π+π−. We determine B(D0→K0K¯0)= (0.13+0.07+0.02−0.05−0.02)%. Our measurement B(D0→K+K−)/B(D0→π+π−)=2.35±0.37±0.28 represents asubstantial improvement over previous results. We find no evidence for the decay D0...

Summary: | Using the CLEO detector we have observed the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D0→K0K¯0, K+K−, and π+π−. We determine B(D0→K0K¯0)= (0.13+0.07+0.02−0.05−0.02)%. Our measurement B(D0→K+K−)/B(D0→π+π−)=2.35±0.37±0.28 represents asubstantial improvement over previous results. We find no evidence for the decay D0→π0π0, and place a 90%-confidence-level upper limit of B(D0→π0π0) |
