In recent years, a number of such systems has been presented, and most of the systems use the common Nearest Neighbor in Signal Space (NNSS) algorithm. In this paper, we propose an enhancement to the NNSS algorithm. We analyze the enhancement to show its effectiveness. The performance of the enhanced NNSS algorithm is evaluated with different values of the parameters. Based on the performance evaluation and analysis, we recommend some guidelines on optimizing the parameters of our proposed enhanced algorithm. 2006-09-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/sis_research/6698 info:doi/10.1109/VTCF.2006.489 https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/context/sis_research/article/7701/viewcontent/10.1.1.63.5960.pdf http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems eng Institutional Knowledge at Singapore Management University Nearest neighbor searches Wireless LAN Indoor environments Phase estimation Space technology Performance analysis Algorithm design and analysis Guidelines Global Positioning System Databases Databases and Information Systems Theory and Algorithms
