sg-smu-ink.sis_research-83272022-11-02T01:18:32Z An efficient privacy preserving message authentication scheme for Internet-of-Things WEI, Jiannan PHUONG, Tran Viet Xuan YANG, Guomin As an essential element of the next generation Internet, Internet of Things (IoT) has been undergoing an extensive development in recent years. In addition to the enhancement of peoples daily lives, IoT devices also generate/gather a massive amount of data that could be utilized by machine learning and big data analytics for different applications. Due to the machine-to-machine communication nature of IoT, data security and privacy are crucial issues that must be addressed to prevent different cyber attacks (e.g., impersonation and data pollution/poisoning attacks). Nevertheless, due to the constrained computation power and the diversity of IoT devices, it is a challenging problem to develop lightweight and versatile IoT security solutions. In this article, we propose an efficient, secure, and privacy-preserving message authentication scheme for IoT. Our scheme supports IoT devices with different cryptographic configurations and allows offline/online computation, making it more versatile and efficient than the previous solutions. 2021-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/sis_research/7324 info:doi/10.1109/TII.2020.2972623 https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/context/sis_research/article/8327/viewcontent/An_Efficient_Privacy_Preserving_Message_Authentication_Scheme_for_Internet_of_Things.pdf http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems eng Institutional Knowledge at Singapore Management University Message authentication Public key Wireless sensor networks Privacy Authentication Protocols Hop-by-hop authentication integrity Internet of Things (IoT) source privacy Information Security |
