Summary: | The traditional method of resolving business disputes is through litigation. In most cases litigation is considered the least efficient and most expensive way to solve business disputes. In view of this businesses are increasingly resorting to Alternative Dispute Resolution, or ADR. ADR is a term coined by corporate managers to describe any means of resolving a dispute without a court trial. These include arbitration, mediation and conciliation, negotiation, and other forms of ADR such as minitrials, expert fact finders, and hybrid forms.
