In order to decrease the power failure occurrence, the power quality monitoring system development is required. This paper presents the methodology for monitoring the power quality (PQ) by implement the monitoring system that able to detect the power fluctuation in real-time. The monitoring system acquired the power signals by using power measurement IC which perform calculation of power quality indexes which interfaced by using ARM7 microcontroller. The monitoring system uses the energy measurement integrated circuit (IC) ADE7758 with power quality monitoring features from Analog Devices Incorporation.
