Summary:This paper presents a new algorithm for blind equalization and carrier phase recovery called Square Contour Algorithm (SCA). This algorithm combines the benefits of the well-known Reduced Constellation Algorithm (RCA), Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA), and recently proposed Multimodulus Algorithm (MMA). Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the new algorithm in removing ISI and recovering carrier phase error simultaneously.
