Summary:The purposes of this study were to construct and use morality cartoon books for Prathom Suksa 2 students, to study their reading skills after reading morality cartoon books, and to study the opinions of students about learning through those books. The target group used in this study was 15 Prathom Suksa 2 students studying in the second semester of the academic year of 2014, Phukeng Pattana school, Wiangsa district, Nan province, The instruments used in this study were 5 morality cartoon books for Prathom Suksa 2 students, 25 items of morality knowledge reading skills test and students’ opinionaire. The data collected was analyzed by computing percentage, and then compared with the set criteria of 65.00 percent. The students’ opinion was computed by mean and standard deviation, and then interpreted through the set criteria. The findings were as follows. The constructed morality cartoon books for Prathom Suksa 2 students with beautiful illustrations, moral knowledge and prose with moral mottos. The morality cartoon books were able to develop students’ reading skills. Reading skills was at the average percentage score of 90.13%, which was higher than the set criteria of 65.00 percent. The students’ opinion was at very good level.
