Summary:The objective of this research is to propose methods of the efficiency enhancement of stamping machine in electronics in dustry at Takano Thailand in this case study. The research started from selecting machines that are critical and high capacity. Basic information of machines up to 12 types were collected. The data of 50 Ton (50-1) machine for Panasonic LD-R68, which contains all 12 sets of Punch and Die (for cutting), was collected parts using the principles of preventive maintenance. The collected data was then analyzed for the issues and causes as well as ranked the importance for each issue. The overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) was analyzed in order to find ways and means to increase the efficiency of the machines. The OEE result before the improvement is 82.82%. Availability of OEE had been improved by consists of adding value by providing spare parts. A manual for maintenance (PM Manual) the preventive maintenance card (PM Card) form plans daily, weekly, monthly maintenance and work instruction manual were created order to reduce the time wasted by stopping the machine and loss in setup-time. Performance of OEE was improved by introducing rotary machine adapted to reduce minor stoppage and idling losses. The visual Control was used for reducing time in finding necessary tools and dies. Quality had been improved by introducing Microsoft Excel program with a Visual Basic (VB) in the notification system for controlling parts of old molds. The results showed that after improving, the OEE value increased to 91.50%, Variances occur8.68%. The factory received benefit from reduction of waiting time, Stopping time, and waste from the process.
