Amanita castanea is described as new to science and compared with phenetically and phylogenetically similar species. It is assignable to Amanita stirps Citrina within Amanita series Mappae. Four other species, A. concentrica, A. rimosa, A. cf. rubromarginata and A. zangii are first reports for Thailand; detailed morphological and molecular data are provided for the Thai material. 2017-09-28T04:20:00Z 2017-09-28T04:20:00Z 2016-12-05 Journal 11793155 2-s2.0-85003747888 10.11646/phytotaxa.286.4.1 https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?partnerID=HzOxMe3b&scp=85003747888&origin=inward http://cmuir.cmu.ac.th/jspui/handle/6653943832/41214
