Synthesis and characterization of Ce-doped CuO nanostructures and their photocatalytic activities

© 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. Multiple nanoplate-like CuO and Ce-doped CuO nanoleaves were synthesized by a simple co-precipitation of Cu(NO 3 ) 2 ·6H 2 O and Ce(NO 3 ) 3 ·6H 2 O in alkaline solutions. In this research, the as-synthesized samples were monoclinic CuO with high crystalline...

In this research, the as-synthesized samples were monoclinic CuO with high crystalline degree. Undoped CuO was composed of multiple nanoplate clusters, which were broken and transformed into nanoleaves for Ce-doped CuO samples. The undoped CuO and 3 mol% Ce-doped CuO were applied for photodegradation of methylene blue under UV light. The last showed the best photocatalytic performance to degrade the methylene blue dye. 2017-09-28T04:24:46Z 2017-09-28T04:24:46Z 2016-03-15 Journal 0167577X 2-s2.0-84954287365 10.1016/j.matlet.2016.01.020 https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?partnerID=HzOxMe3b&scp=84954287365&origin=inward http://cmuir.cmu.ac.th/jspui/handle/6653943832/42025
