Summary: | When worries and distress occur, people seek ways to ease them by encouraging themselves and bringing about happiness in different methods. Having been studying art, the researcher believes that art is a chanel that raises smiles and encouragement among people. As a result, it was a great source of inspiration for an art work called “Answers about happiness from the audience”. It aimed to provide opportunities for audience to share their attitudes about happiness based on the question “What is your happiness?”. The audience arranged colorful ceramic letters in Thai and English created by the researcher to express their answers. Providing their answers to the question, the audience was a key part in fullfilling the meaning of art. This art work presented Installation Art consisting of a white board for putting up the question and answers and colorful ceramic letters. In addition, the researcher analyzed the meaning of materials and colors used, the characteristics of letters used, the answers from the audience, the audience’ s participation, the overall image of art work and the criticism regarding the exhibition. This art work not only achieved the set goals and concepts but also established friendships and relationships between the creators and the audience. The researcher believes that this art work namely “Answers about happiness from the audience” is another alternative approach that potentially promotes audience’s creativity. |
