Summary: | The purposes of this research were 1) to study the state of the management of information system for educational internal quality assurance of Anusarnsunthorn School for the Deaf,
Chiang Mai, and 2) to study the problems, suggestions and solution of the management of information system for educational internal quality assurance of this school. The population of this research consisted of 26 people. Those were 3 administrators who worked at Anusarnsunthorn School for the Deaf in academic year 2013, 2 officers responsible for the educational quality assurance, 2 officers responsible for school’s information, and 19 basic special educational heads. The instruments were a set of audit forms/surveys and interviewing format. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and presented in the composition.
The findings of this research were as follows.
The management of information system for educational internal quality assurance of Anusarnsunthorn School for the Deaf, Chiang Mai was conducted according to the Deming Cycle (PDCA) and 7 steps of the management of information system of bureau of educational testing. Those were 1. planning for management of information system, 2. creating data collection tools, 3. compiling data, 4. auditing data, 5. evaluating, 6. presenting data and information, including 7. collecting data and information.
The problems found were the officers’s limited experience, insufficient budgets and facilities on management of information system for educational quality assurance, the teachers’ limited knowledge on creating data collection tools for information technology, insystematic data complication, discontinuity of auditing system, and the officers’ limited experience and knowledge on evaluation.
Furthermore, the problems found were a lack of of information dissemination on management of information system for educational quality assurance to the internal and external officers, insufficient computers especially used for collecting school’s information, and insufficient budget for information collection.
The suggestion and the solution of the management of information system were as follows. 1. All the officers should be involved in formulating the policy and plan for the information management system for educational quality assurance. 2. The data collection tools should be reliable for accuracy, modern, and appropriate for the educational institutions. 3. There should be sufficient computers especially for compiling data. 4. The collected data hould be audited with accurate and current information. 5. The collected data should be checked carefully and ready to use. 6.The presented data and information should be extensive and accuracurate according to the standard of educational quality assurance, and 7.The data and information should be put in category according to the standard of educational quality assurance. |
