Phase formation, densification, microstructure and dielectric properties of the composites were investigated as a function of the content of ZnO nanowhiskers. Densification behavior of the ceramic nanocomposites was significantly enhanced, as compared to pure PbTiO3ceramics. Moreover, the dielectric constant of the composites was higher than that of the pure PbTiO3ceramics. © 2010 Elsevier B.V.
