The least-altered, Permian mafic volcanic rocks from the Pang Mayao area, Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province, part of Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai volcanic belt, have been analyzed and are found to be mid-ocean ridge and ocean-island basalts.
