With immune deficiency, patients are susceptible to a variety of nonopportunistic and opportunistic infections that can result in significant morbidity and mortality. Infection can involve any anatomical compartments resulting in infectious arthritis, osteomyelitis, pyomyositis, and soft tissue and skin infection. Imaging plays an important role in the early diagnosis and treatment planning for these patients. This article reviews the clinical manifestations of musculoskeletal infection together with reported causative organisms. We discuss the role of imaging and present radiological examples. © 2011 Thieme Medical Publishers, Inc. 2018-09-04T04:25:22Z 2018-09-04T04:25:22Z 2011-11-18 Journal 1098898X 10897860 2-s2.0-81155138202 10.1055/s-0031-1293499 https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?partnerID=HzOxMe3b&scp=81155138202&origin=inward http://cmuir.cmu.ac.th/jspui/handle/6653943832/50153
