Patterns of occurrence of myxomycetes on lianas

Patterns of occurrence of myxomycetes on different types of lianas were assessed at the Mushroom Research Centre in northern Thailand during the rainy season of Jun.-Sep. 2008. A total of 30 species representing, 15 genera of myxomycetes, were obtained from a series of moist chamber cultures prepare...

A total of 30 species representing, 15 genera of myxomycetes, were obtained from a series of moist chamber cultures prepared with samples of living and dead lianas. The results of the present study appear to indicate that such biodiversity parameters of myxomycete communities as species richness, species diversity, taxonomic diversity and species composition vary on lianas as a result of the differences that exist in height above the ground, bark texture and liana diameter. Three of the species (Physarum didermoides, Physarum aeneum and Perichaena dictyonema) recorded in the present study are new for Thailand. © 2009 Elsevier Ltd and The British Mycological Society. 2018-09-04T04:40:54Z 2018-09-04T04:40:54Z 2010-11-01 Journal 17545048 2-s2.0-77956897984 10.1016/j.funeco.2009.11.005 https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?partnerID=HzOxMe3b&scp=77956897984&origin=inward http://cmuir.cmu.ac.th/jspui/handle/6653943832/50419
